I was trying to think of the most efficient datatype to store decimal latitude and longitude points in a MySQL database but my usual tutor Mr Google wasn’t all that helpful. Anyway, I went for this in the end; float(10,6) This will easily store negative and positive to 6 decimal places eg -1.123456 or 36.654321…. Read more »
